When I was hired on at a school district nearly 200 miles away from where I had been living, I was both excited and nervous. I was excited because of the incredible opportunity, but I was nervous because I was not sure what my two kids were going to feel about it. I had moved several times when I was a kid, and I hated being the new kid in school every single time. My kids were great though, knowing why we needed to make this move. Their only question was who our internet provider would be!
I still think they were asking that mainly to show support for me in this move of ours, but I know that they were legitimately concerned about it too because they do so many different things online. They rely heavily on the internet to do a lot of their homework, and some schools are even starting to have online classes so the kids can get more credit. The school district we are in now is like that so I knew that we had to have good internet service as well. We needed it not only for them but for me too, since I would need to rely on the online world to help me with my new job too.
I looked at all the choices we would have, which were not all that many. Even if we had a lot though, I would not have chosen any differently. We went with AT&T because they have not only a great service but also great prizes too. I had some questions, and I was able to get all of them answered even before I made the move. Now that we are here, the kids have easily adjusted, and I have too. This move has turned out to be a great one for all of us.
